History of the Clan
Pennsic XXV - Everyone Must Feed the Crater (1996)
 In 1996, there were many changes in the swamp. Keith returned to camp with the Clan. Heather, Dave, Charlie and Teresa joined us for the first time at this War. Timberwolfe arrived, as did the Time Pirates. It was the first year that the Clan joined the Shadow Alliance. It was also the first year of Swamp Fest. Swamp Fest was the night when all of the camps in the swamp threw parties, each offering a special drink to all who wished to wander about the swamp. Our contribution this year was the creation of a huge magical fog bank which engulfed all of the swamp (Thanks Charlie!).
Melanie and Lea pulled the remnants of a keg our Clan had not been able to finish around in a wagon and tried to give it away (somewhat unsuccessfully!) Lost Boys put on a great puppet show. Our own Dave was appointed “Toy Master” at the Nauga Court. A strange, windsurfing, dirt-dancing entity terrorized the camp. Last but not least, Keith brought forth the one and only crater!
Things overheard this year (aside from “bogspeak”—a cross between Ren of Ren and Stimpy and Father Guido Sarducci):
- “Hmmmm...I can’t decide. Vixen or Felicity?”
- “Refer to the Norm”
- “MORTAL....Bring me a beer………....NOW!” –Originally uttered by “Head”.
